This school is a place for students to cultivate themselves, mind and body, and our school precept is “Train and prepare for a bright future.” Students must therefore believe in their own vast potential, and are expected to resolutely strive to achieve it. We’ll help you pursue an international career as a world citizen. At the Japanese Academy, we focus on the current state of Japanese language education and teaching practical Japanese that fits the increasingly diverse needs of learners. We aim to help students who wish to enter higher education institutes in Japan, such as universities and vocational schools, to acquire the skills needed for their studies.

The school is located 1 block from Kyoto station, so it is incredibly convenient. Kyoto has 1,200 years of history making it a place of international culture and tourism, and it is home to numerous universities and companies that carry out cutting-edge research. The learning environment we provide is optimal for improving students’ Japanese, but also for a deeper understanding of Japanese culture, traditions, history, and social etiquette. In the same building as our language school are vocational schools specializing in automotive, beauty, animals, etc. When you go to our language school, you can meet many Japanese students at our vocational schools. It's a great opportunity to make new friends.
