TOKYO International Exchange College is a Japanese language school certificated by the Ministry of Justice. We have the 25 years of experience operating language schools, and helping foreign students. As for educational supports, our students are offered extensive support for going to universities or vocational schools. Also, we help our students get jobs for companies or start their own businesses.
Our principal educational policy is cultivating international talents. We introduce part time jobs for our students and help them with interviews and resume technics. Moreover, we offer a program that focuses on JLPT test preparation.

  • Classes are held 5 days a week. Class hours, depending on your level of Japanese:

    9:00 AM – 12:15 PM (with a 15-minute break)
    OR
    12:45 PM – 4:00 PM (with a 15-minute break)

  • Even if you’ve never studied Japanese before, that’s not a problem! You can start from scratch at TIEC The curriculum is designed to help you develop the four skills of language learning—listening, speaking, writing and reading at an even pace. First, students will learn the minimum conversations necessary for daily life, such as pronunciation and greetings, hiragana, katakana, and kanji. The goal is to increase basic vocabulary and acquire basic sentence patterns and grammar.

    Intermediate Level

    It is aimed to acquire higher levels of spoken and written language while expanding kanji, vocabulary, and grammar from the level that students have already learned. Students will be enriched in kanji, vocabulary and will acquire Japanese proficiency that can be used in various scenes.

  • The goal is to reach a level where elementary lectures in specialized fields can be understood, and discussions and presentations can be made. In addition, after practicing in order to quickly understand newspapers, magazines, specialized books, etc., and cultivating the ability to compose sentences, students will reach the level where they can write the reports and treatises required for the examination. Moreover, the ultimate goal of this level is to learn frequently used colloquial expressions, to be able to communicate freely in conversations with Japanese people, and to be able to write sentences that are typical of Japanese. TIEC also offers classes for students taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

  • The school can also help students with finding a part-time job to fund their studies. They also post available local part-time jobs, and prepare you for the interview.

  • From preparing you for interviews to teaching you proper business Japanese, we provide support for when you’re ready to join the Japanese workforce or attend a university.
