OLJ Language Academy is part of the Kyoshin Language Academy group. We have several schools in Japan, and students from over 25 countries. Their purposes are various such as improving Japanese, further education and job seeking. We have Short-term and Long-term courses. The lessons focus on Japanese conversation, but also we have a good balance of writing, reading, speaking, and listening. We have a cozy and cheerful atmosphere, teachers and staff are friendly.   • We are located in Ikebukuro, which is one of the most convenient and attractive areas of Tokyo. We are located near a big shopping center which is called Sunshine city Ikebukuro, with easy access for shopping and restaurants after the class ends!

  • Mixed countries students from many countries which includes the US and European countries.

  • The school provides above and beyond support. There are English-speaking staff available to assist you with any issues that may arise during your time at the school.

  • First 6 months: 491,700 JPY
    Next 6 months: 414,700 JPY
    (1 year total is 906,400 JPY)

    The 2 years total is 1,735,800 JPY.

    *No beginner level in January term.

  • Short-term course is 2 weeks to 3 months.

    Entrance fee: 22,000 JPY
    Tuition: Calculated on daily basis, 3,300 JPY per day.
    Textbooks: At actual cost. (Approx. 10,000 JPY, depends on each level)

  • - 3 hours per day AM or PM, from Monday to Friday except national holidays.
    - One semester is 3 months, approx. 47 days of lessons.
    - 8 levels from beginner to upper advanced level.
    - Starting month is January, April, July & October.
    - Class size is a maximum of 20 students.

    *Beginner class opens in April, July and October.
    *We teach Japanese in Japanese, even at beginner level.
    *Teachers will decide your class after the placement test, you cannot choose AM or PM.

  • We have over 30 classes from complete beginner to upper advanced level. We have a class which matches your level.

  • Advanced students welcome.

  • The school can also help students with finding a part-time job to fund their studies. They also post available local part-time jobs, and prepare you for the interview.

  • From preparing you for interviews to teaching you proper business Japanese, we provide support for when you’re ready to join the Japanese workforce or attend a university.
