MIRAI Japanese Language Institute is located in Kobe, one of Japan's leading international cities, surrounded by abundant nature with views of the sea to the south and mountains to the north. Our school is also located in Sannomiya, downtown Kobe. We strive to provide students with a rich international experience, helping them to enjoy a rewarding study abroad experience in Japan.   • The school is located on the 7th floor of a large office building. It is bright and clean, and was renovated in 2016. Located in downtown Kobe, it is a wonderful learning environment with classroom windows overlooking the natural beauty. The school is adjacent to a shopping arcade, SHOTENGI, and the underground food court that has many restaurants and food courts, so you will have no trouble finding the supplies you need. There is also a lounge on campus with a panoramic view of Mt. Rokko, so you can spend your free time outside of class chatting with friends.

  • Over the years we've welcomed students from many different countries. Students use Japanese as a shared language of communication to form friendships and become immersed in this international environment.

  • Living away from home can be a big burden for students. Our life counselors will support students with all aspects of their daily life and strive to help them lead a fulfilling life in Japan. Our school not only teaches students academically, but also contributes to their personal growth.

  • At Mirai, we efficiently practice practical Japanese conversation that can be used in everyday life. Study hard in the morning and then use what you've learned to speak in the afternoon. There are plenty of opportunities to speak in small class lessons. So you can have fun improving your Japanese language skills even in a short period of time.

  • Classes are held Monday to Friday. Depending on your Japanese level, you will be assigned to the morning or afternoon class schedule.

    Morning classes: 09:00 - 12:30
    Afternoon classes: 13:00 - 16:30

  • Through reading, writing, listening, and speaking, students will acquire basic Japanese sentence patterns and everyday communication skills. Students will learn approximately 500 kanji characters and a vocabulary of approximately 1,500 words. The book is: Minna no Nihongo.

  • This course will develop conversational and communication skills and cultivate advanced Japanese language proficiency. It will also deepen your understanding of specialized fields. Students will learn approximately 2,000 kanji characters and 10,000 vocabulary words.

  • For students who wish to go on to university or vocational school, the school provides thorough support for their further education, including assistance with admission procedures and advice on choosing a school.

  • To reduce the financial burden on students and ensure a safe life, we introduce accommodations near the school. Our school has its own dormitories in Kobe City's Chuo and Nagata Wards. The dormitory is for a six-month lease as a general rule, with automatic extensions thereafter. Regarding payment, students are asked to transfer two months' rent and one month's security deposit to the school's designated bank account in advance.
