LABO Japanese Language Institute and Training Center was established 1987 in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Now we moved to a local downtown area near Sengagi. Labo offers education for international students who have their own goals such as going to a university, vocational school and getting a job. We are not a big school so it's suitable even for the students who are a little bit shy. Because the students are close to the instructor, we can provide personalized feedback and customize the learning pace to suit them. For 37 years we have been providing detailed teaching and homely educational environment that only a small school can offer. You can improve your skills naturally while actually using Japanese.

  • Labo is in Sendagi which is Bunkyo ward one of a region with a history of being passionate about education. And it has been famous as it's called " YANESEN 谷根千", Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi. In addition to studying at school, you can try your hand at using the Japanese you have learned by completing tasks in the local shopping district in the Yanesen area, a homely environment filled with traditional downtown atmosphere.
    You will also have a relaxed moment with watching greens or eating snack and drink near the park called " Sudo Park ". It's in Tokyo, but it's not like a jungle of Tokyo buildings, it's an oasis in the city.

  • We have around 100 students from over 10 countries, India, China, Korea, Mongokia, Azerubaijan, Uzubekistan, Mexico, Nepal, Vietnam and Sri Lanka etc. It is an environment where you can enjoy international exchange with students from all over the world.

  • The school provides above and beyond support. There are English and Chinese- speaking staff available to assist you.
    The teachers teach and explain very detailed and kindly.
    We provide comprehensive support for housing and daily life, providing an environment where you can start your life in Japan with peace of mind.

Price

  • In both the general course and the university, vocational school entrance course, students can learn the four language skills of speaking, reading, writing, and listening in a balanced manner. And we provide JLPT prep test before JLPT test twice a year.
    ・1 year: ￥640,000
    ・1 year and 3 months: ￥800,000
    ・1 year and 6 months: ￥960,000
    ・1 year and 9 months: ￥1,120,000
    ・2 years: ￥1,280,000
    *The tuition for the first 1 year should be paid before enter the school.
    *The prices above exclude entrance fee and textbook and material fees.
    *Enrollment Dates: January, April, July, October
    *For those paying the tuition fee in installments, an extra one-time screening fee 20,000 yen and entrance fee 60,000 yen will be charged exept above tuitions.
    * Please note that the application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
    * The above amount includes consumption tax (10%).

    If you wish to pay the tuition fee in installments, the amount will be 330,000 yen/6 months.
     The above amount does not include the cost of teaching materials.

  • This 3 month course is available for anyone who wishes to do a short term study program in Japan.

  • Depending on your level of Japanese, classes will be in the morning OR afternoon, and a total of 20 hours/week.

  • Beginner Students: Even if you’ve never studied Japanese before, that’s not a problem! The curriculum is designed to help you develop the four skills of language learning—listening, speaking, writing and reading at an even pace.
    We offers Kanji study step by step after the level you finish Japanese alphabet as Hiragana, Katakana.

  •  In the advanced classes, we offer unique lessons that cultivate academic and business Japanese as well as presentation skills, so you can learn not only exam preparation but also practical Japanese. With the aim of fostering Japanese language ability, we enable graduates to go onto university or vocational school. Labo offers classes for students taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

  • From preparing you for interviews to teaching you proper business Japanese, we provide support for when you’re ready to join the Japanese workforce or attend a university. If you want to employment, we will offer a simulation practice for you having an job interview.

  • We dont have our own dormitory of the school but If there is a vacancy in a dormitory owned by one of our group Japanese language schools.
    And also we would introduce you real estate agencies for a sharing house within 30-40 minutes by train from school.
