ISI has 9 beautiful / modern schools through out Japan. Our Kyoto campus provides Japanese language education designed to help students achieve their goals. Our curriculum meets a variety of needs, from cultural experiences and daily conversation to preparation for entering universities and graduate schools or finding employment in Japan. We offer events that allow you to experience the Japanese seasons and cultural experiences that take advantage of Kyoto's traditional characteristics. The Kyoto Campus has many repeat students. Even if you only started to study Japanese, that’s not a problem! You can start from Beginner I class. The curriculum is designed to help you develop the four skills of language learning—listening, speaking, writing and reading at an even pace.

At the Intermediate II level and above, students can choose to take elective classes. This provides an environment for students to focus on what they really want to learn for their future.

The Kyoto Campus is an excellent choice for students aiming for higher education in the Kansai region. The area is home to many prestigious institutions, including Kyoto University, one of the top universities in Japan, as well as other leading universities throughout the region. Our school provides extensive information about universities and vocational schools in Kansai and across Japan, which students can freely access.
In addition, the school organizes events to support students preparing for higher education, such as seminars with career counselors from universities and vocational schools. We also offer special courses tailored to students’ examination schedules, including preparation for application documents and interviews.
From the intermediate level, students can choose elective classes such as graduate school preparation and EJU/JLPT preparation. With the guidance of our experienced teachers, many of our students successfully gain admission to the schools of their choice every year.

Students enrolled in our Kyoto Campus can enjoy their stay by sharing their life with other foreign students at our student houses while living a safe and comfortable dorm life.

Saga-Arashiyama International House
This dormitory, exclusively for Kyoto Campus students, is located just a 7‑minute walk from JR Saga‑Arashiyama Station. Students can also experience intercultural exchange while living together with other international students.
