Interculture Language Academy was founded in 1988 and has provided Japanese language education to over 20,000 students. Our school is the most international school in Kobe, and we accept around 500 students every year. Currently we have students from over 40 different countries. Most of our students are living in our student housing (located very close to the school) and that makes it very easy to make new friends.

Preparatory Course
- This course is for student preparing to study at graduate schools, universities, and vocational schools. We help students write a research proposal and their reason for choosing that school and help prepare for individual interviews.
Ryutsu Kagaku University Course
- The classes are divided according to the goals of N1~N5 of the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). We try to acquire JLPT N2 at a minimum by graduation time. We also help students to pass the EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International students) successfully. Students must get Japanese test N2 Level during learning Japanese at ILA or have Points of EJU test more than 210 points.
Business Course
- This course is provided for the students how aim to find works at the Japanese companies in the future inside and outside of Japan. They will learn and utilize not only honorific expressions in Japanese but also will learn manners and costumes necessary for the business. Moreover, students will visit the actual company in order to get the skill of business as extracurricular activities.

Our lessons are tailored to your level, and we offer free supplementary lessons for Kanji practice. We also have fun activities outside of class. Christmas party, tea ceremony, fireworks, speech contest, and fun fieldtrips.
We will do our best to prepare you to apply to higher education or vocational school.

Housing

We have a sharehouse located right next to the school, so no need to take the train to school everyday. The rooms are furnished. You can have your own room, and make new friends with your roommates.

We have 4 apartment buildings located a 5 to 20 minute bicycle ride from the school. Most apartments are furnished, and you can live by yourself, or with other students.
