Ryogoku, where Tokyo Meisei Japanese Language Academy is located, is a historic and culturally rich neighborhood in Sumida Ward, Tokyo. Known as the spiritual home of sumo wrestling, Ryogoku attracts many visitors every year who come to enjoy the grand sumo tournaments held at the Ryogoku Kokugikan arena.
In addition to the Kokugikan, Ryogoku offers attractions such as the Edo-Tokyo Museum and traditional shopping streets, providing a warm, local atmosphere where you can experience authentic Japanese culture. The area has excellent transportation access, with JR Sobu Line and Toei Subway stations nearby, making it easy to reach central Tokyo and other key locations.

Even beginner-level students can study for up to two years if they start in April, so let’s do our best together!
For advanced-level students, we hope to work together to find the best possible path for your future.
The school can also help students with finding a part-time job to fund their studies. They also post available local part-time jobs, and prepare you for the interview.
